I think a lot of people need to figure out how to get used to her repetitive anecdotes about filming because awards season is LONG and it hasn't even begun.

edit: The reason I mention awards season is I believe Bradley and co. know that revealing too much now is going to make them boring when it really matters in Dec-Feb/March

And honestly, I'm annoyed by the by the endless snarky comments here than anything else. I think most fanbases would just be glad their fave is excellent at their job - which is singing and acting. I don't remember her saying anything about wanting to be a talk show guest since she was 13.

People forget that only crazy imbeciles such as ourselves watch every interview they give, and as hard as it is to believe, more people have NOT heard "the stories" than have heard them. The point is to reach an audience beyond Gaga Daily, and that audience probably wants to hear about Gaga cooking Bradley leftovers.

In short, it's our problem, not theirs. Also: welcome to an Oscar campaign.

I totally understand that the promo circuit is repetitive and monotonous for both Gaga and Bradley. I understand how it must be challenging to come up with something new when you're being asked the same question a hundred times a day.

But look, Gaga is going to have to try and overcome this. She and her team have to be more adventurous in these interviews. If Gaga herself is seen to have only a handful of repeated lines to speak about this movie, it really creates a stagnant vibe for the film. I feel like her style - whilst understandable - is serving as an injustice to the movie. She isn't selling it how she should be.

If, in every interview, Gaga and Bradley have nothing new to say... what does that say to the GP about the film? It's really not great. And for us fans, it's pretty frustrating. There must be so much to say about this experience - we know it's changed Gaga's life. She must have more to say.

Most people like homey anecdotes like that. I doubt the majority of people care for the technical details of filming.

It's the whole Stars: They're Just Like Us! thing. People want that down-home relatable content. Especially from Gaga, who is mostly known for wearing slabs of meat and arriving to shows in alien eggs.

It also plays into the whole authenticity-true-connection-i-can-see-into-your-soul narrative they're going with.

They're saving it for the endless press they'll have to do in awards season. Press when a movie just opens is just a joke.

Lmao my mom is very much apart of the gp and she loves hearing stuff like that. She went to me the other day after E News was on and was like "Omg Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga their connection, the pasta, the makeup wipe, THEYRE IN LOVE THEYRE MEANT FOR EACH OTHER and we need to see it" :air:  She likes random stuff like that and always mentions stuff like this from other artists too

cool

It's not repetitive to most people, because most people aren't watching everything that we're watching. It's really not that complicated.

They are also kind of stuck in what they can say right now, since the movie is not even out and they want to keep it under wraps. (Hence why the trailers and all interviews all focus on specific elements within the first half of the film). This campaign will evolve over time.

doppelganger

Bradley is a very private person who doesn’t even have instagram (read the NYT interview where he reveals nothing about the motivations behind the scenes in the film). Him and Gaga have probably decided what to reveal and what to keep for themselves. Also we fans listen to every single interview, the GP will simply catch whatever shows they usually watch and don’t experience the repetition as we do.

Hope this wasn’t shade to my thread. :triggered:

OT: Bradley is a private person so that explains why he’s more secretive. Gaga on the other hand learned her lesson since ARTPOP about saying/giving too much information. So I’ll rather have repetitive than spoilers, disappointments, etc.

No, sorry! I haven't seen your thread. I only realized how bad it was while in the Graham Norton thread in News and Events.
