They should have got a good producer, shallow is mixed awfully

They said that the soundtrack was going to be studio versions and now they are chaining it, disappointed but not surprised

Soundtrack time slots haven't changed in months, so this has been set for a while. I personally wanted a studio version of every song, so I'm a little disappointed that EVERY song in the movie may be that way.

Maybe they recorded the tracks and mixed them to be the same length

I think they’ve done it to keep continuity, the whole movie focuses around their live vocals which is unique to the film. If you take other movies that have singers as characters, the bodygaurd or Beaches for instance, the songs they ‘sing’ aren’t them singing live, which we know is the case in ASIB.

It serves the movie better for the ST to be the live vocals, I guess they used the finished songs to gloss them up but to not take away from what we know them as in the film.

Not the bore worms!

Leave it up to Little Monsters to be her biggest critics. She can’t release ANYTHING without you tearing it to shreds. You’ve all watched the multiple versions of clips and promos and created your own idea of what you wanted the song to be and it’s not that. So what.

I’m seeing the same backlash for I Want Your Love which is an incredible disco cover. Let’s stop reacting instantly, stop thinking about numbers and chart performance, and sit with the music as she intended us to. We should only be so lucky to have a queen so talented across multiple disciplines. Let’s enjoy the ride as she evolves as an artist.

Honestly the only thing bothering me is the cheering

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

Ancient Alien

The guitar intro is stunning, if only they make it more noticeable during the whole song and that would be the winning point.
I would prefer another verse even a repeated one before the "Oh, aHHHAHAAAOOOHHA.." to make the song feel more... complete ugg. I'm still happy with what we've got though. :queenga:

They have been teasing us with studio versions (Shallow, Is That Alright?, Maybe It's Time) and then 2 minutes before releasing Shallow Gaga is like "...and..oh yeah, the soundtrack is live" :poot:

It doesn't serve the movie ANYTHING to be mixed and mastered with effects from the film. The movie is its own fully realized experience. The soundtrack should be it's own separate experience - what it is shaping up to be now is a strange hybrid that intends to replicate the film experience but ends up being diluted and also then fails to serve as a stand alone album. These "Live" mixes should be a Disc 2 type of situation to a fully realized normal studio album.

this is a snippet of her singing Shallow at the JWT towards the end of the movie... it sounds VERY different from the version we got. This is probably what the studio version was like ugh it's so good

Bradley

I have no problem with audience cheering. The thing which slightly bothers me is how unfiltered the vocals and instrumental sound at the end. I still think it's a great song.

If we dont get "Is that alright?" like it is in the trailer :messga:

My main concern, and studio-dance-y versions of the pop tracks.

But talking about the pop tracks also reminds me of tracks like Heal Me or Hair Body Face that are not in the movie in full or at all?????

It should be, the song sounded exactly like the one in the trailer. It's played in the credits. So unless they have another version lined up for the soundtrack, it should be the version we heard
