So :vegas:

Today's the day, Shallow is out! Everyone was hyped because the trailer really set it up to be a moment :legend:

Now it's out, lots of people love it :vegas:

Lots of people are confused :what: including myself :/

The trailer version of this song is a lot stronger, both in terms of vocals and instrumentation

But then Gaga got on the phone to Zane Lowe and confirmed that both the film and the soundtrack will contain the live versions of the songs written and produced.

Does this excite you more? Or less? What does this mean for the polished studio versions of both "Shallow" and "Is That Alright?" that we heard in the trailer and promo clips?

I hope that at least on the CD we get clean studio versions. I think putting in clapping audiences and weird live/studio mixes doesn't fit there at all.

For YouTube, it makes sense, but not for the CD.

Still, I am hyped AF for the soundtrack and movie in general.

Personally I think that Gaga has that kind of voice where you enjoy the live vocals for their intended purpose. I just think she sounds a lot better in . Studio sessions exist for a reason lmao. They clear up any natural vocal flaws of a live performance. They also make a song hit harder. Eg; the trailer version of the chorus >>>>>>> Spotify version in terms of ease of listening

I think this makes sense for the album, to release live versions from the film. Although, personally, I'd love studio versions too. That said, several songs in the film are basically just studio versions, including 'Is That Alright.'

I’m pretty sure it’s gonna be a mix. I’d say the songs that okay entirely in the movie will be sung live, the ones only partially sung like “Why Did You Do arhat?” May be either live or studio, and then of course the songs not in the movie will be studio. I personally like the mix of both live and studio, I’m thinking it’ll help flow the soundtrack better, especially with the addition of the spoken bits.

I- I really need a studio polished version. I LOVE this version but to play it on repeat on my phone I need something a bit smoother without clapping and what not...

Full album will definitely have studio tracks. They played the studio version of Always Remember Us This Way and Black Eyes during the credits, and didn't even have Is That Alright in the film.
