And there's the top 100 playlist which tracks the total streams from of a day from midnight to 11:59pm and then does a chart, so its a wrap-up of the previous day, but not live.

Yeah The low streams on weekends is an interesting concept, but it seems like it only apply to our Gaga (yeah I get that ~all of the songs get lower numbers, but Shallow dropped NINETEEN positions for god's sake... )

This comment is ignorant. They are putting SO MUCH $$$ into promoting the music video right now. There are ads everywhere with links to the YouTube video. They’re promotion this week is for album pre-orders so it debuts #1! Then next week they’ll start promoting a single. They are doing a lot right now and one of them is not screwing it up by sending a non radio song to radio. They have such a slim timeframe to get a song to pickup on radio and they need to make sure it is the right one.

I mean, sending Shallow to the radio would be as dumb as sending Perfect Illusion to the radios. They won't touch it (and it would kill her relation with radio this era, just like Perfect Illusion killed her buzz for the radio). I Will Never Love Again or Is That Alright? are the songs they should send for winter. Shallow is like a buzz single, not a real single, its goal is just to promote the preorder and the movie, and it's doing its job.
