this is honestly such great news because personally I loved Shallow so so much and somehow there's better tracks :duck:

It's true.  It's hard to believe there could be better tracks than Shallow, but there are.  Imagine the impact that's about to happen.

I live outside the space time continuum.

I'll watch ASIB alone, because my friends only like superheroes and horror movies. It's ok, I've seen like 5 movies alone (the first and second film from Maze Runner, Inside Out, Focus and Allegiant).

I'm only good at being bad

I already got a ticket to see ASIB on Thursday. But I see there is now a Wednesday showing too. So debating if I should get a ticket to that and see it one day after the other :awkney:

What you're missing is watching cable TV :staymad: That's where the ads are here. CTV airs it during almost every commercial break and so does MTV Canada. There's a bunch of other channels that air it as well but I can't remember right now. The promo is hardcore but its on television

I know. Popular movies aren't really affected by horrible reviews (The Nun, The Predator as exemples).

actually they are. Both The Nun and The Predator suffered horrible second weekend drops (The Nun suffered the biggest drop for a 2nd weekend of all the Conjuring franchise movies). Look here: https://www.boxofficemojo.com/news/?id=4438&p=.htm

"The Nun dipped a franchise worst, 66% this weekend, delivering an estimated $18.2 million"

"The Predator: whether it was the controversy swirling around the film, dwindling franchise interest or a combination of both, the film delivered the lowest opening weekend gross for a live-action film debuting in over 4,000 theaters"

There's no need to talk about Batman vs Superman, Justice League, right?

The first weekend is usually successful (it will be Venom's case), but if reviews and word of mouth are bad, the second weekend (and the overall performance) will be affected.

I saw both Nun and Predator on the release date just because I love both franchise.

I am not going to see Venom on release week just for ASIB

Venom and ASIB could both be successful, they are not competitors to each other.

Venom is a commercial movie that will have a big opening week and stay there for 1~2 months

ASIB will be a highly acclaimed movie which comes for Oscars and will have longevity until at least February  :rockstar: we don't need to say bad things about Venom and make us look like members from madonnation

Great points! I still think their muted numbers were more affected by bad word of mouth (from the GP) than from press reviews. Though I can see how one factor leads to the other.
