Thankfully the Oscars is decided not by the public then but by experts in the industry.  Thankfully ASIB has received strong critical praise so far.

this makes this fanbase look really bad.

The fan base makes the fan base look bad, not ASIB.

I thought anybody could vote, but apparently you couldn't. I just read that they made sure only the audience that saw the films were able to vote. Their website was really misleading.

It still seems odd that ASIB didn't even make the top 3 after the positive reaction it got. Im not sure what to make of it.

Many people were sooo ready to bash ASIB if it won (and those people are not stans, reason why I care). Hopefully this will put the target on something else and monsters will humble themselves, not being unsufferable and make everybody hate her

ASIB may have got ripped off.

"Once we receive an online vote we take many steps to ensure the submissions are legit — including checking the origin of the votes and if they are coming from ticket holders. Don't worry, we got this." On Sunday, TIFF's outgoing CEO Piers Handling, asked by The Hollywood Reporter about the absence of A Star Is Born, confirmed that specific measures were taken to ensure that "no one crashed the voting process."

Sounds like they had a bias against ASIB. Who knows how many ASIB votes got thrown out. It seems like they just sort of decided which votes to count and which not to. It doesn't seem like it was a very exact process and that they don't really care that it wasn't.
