This is so hard to understand to me as an outsider but I've also gotten this vibe too..

I read an article about last year's Grammy awards that said that if they awarded poc, but all of them being like Rihanna, Beyonce or Bruno, the feeling of underrepresentation dark skin had was still there.

Yet Beyonce fans say you're racist if you don't like her.

cardi has said some pretty problematic stuff years ago but personally i dont care about apologies, they are well formed text written by a group of 10, or so, people. im more interested in seeing that she doesnt act the way she did, you know? its the present that counts not the past, kind of like how nicki collabed with 6*****e and also added him on her tour the song on her album etc.
