Bradley gave her professional actor advice to not read anything. Our girl doesn't know all the rave reviews she's been getting aside for what people at the interviews tell her that it is good. (I doubt any interviewer will tell any actor their acting sucks ) All those acclaim she denied herself and only through the interviews and people close to her did she know that she did a phenomenal job. So yes, crying is not an excessive show of emotion. It is only expected and dang, let the woman cry. She cried in concerts when she received ovations; the concerts in Paris and Rio stand out. She cried at the 2015 Oscars when she received a standing ovation, and when Julie Andrews hugged her.
