Since we already know almost the whole 'Shallow' lyrics and sound I think they should release it before the movie, even now as part of the promo. The song doesn't give any hints and spoilers on the plot and people already remember it from the trailer and the ASIB promo tweets and posts.

You are so right. It is for the trailers. It’s saying the songs that we will hear or already heard in the trailer will be (or featured) in the film. There is no correlation with the Oscars.

Very Bradley heavy in these featurettes in terms of music.  I wonder if there will be a second round of clips later in the month with Gaga singing, probably with Shallow and IWNLA

It's definitely the songs they are hoping would be contenders but we have seen many times that if any other tracks receive better feedback things could change.
