The way Ryan portrays homosexuality in AHS also frustrates me. It’s always shown as sick/gross or it’s like in season 1 cheating and unhappy. From a gay director I would expect more. Maybe I’m overthinking it but since season 3 IMO it’s got worse. As I watched the first 20 mins of the last season and it was all about trump I couldn’t be bothered, it’s a shame. For gay men, I agree. The scene with the fire pick really messed me up. The cheating too was annoying, but I guess it was an attempt to humanize gay relationships since anyone could cheat gay or straight. The lesbians get much more positive light like in Cult.
