I get your point but imo she has responded in a mature way.

Some people doesn't even deserve to get a response from you. If she focused on Twitter she will lose a lot of time and respect. I think her music is so matured and amazing it won't feel the same if she kept fighting with 15yo and lose respect.

how is this childish? she's clocking the kids like they deserve

You just said it " Kids " so why waste time with them and lose a bit of your matured image.

Does being 'bigger' mean you let people in your mentions talk to you however they want?

She commented on the post in the first place and as an artist she probably knows there are fans and trolls. Getting to the level of trolls responding to them is not good for the famous one in this case Marina.

I completely agree with her points, but unfortunately you can't control or change people, especially on the internet. So if you can't stand the heat and if it makes you that miserable, just get off social media altogether, or let someone else manage your professional profiles, it's that simple.

ugh she needs to chill and either take the joke or not rerad comments. Sorry, bitch. It's not gonna stop anytime soon because you're too sensetive to take a joke.

Even though I am not on social media, and have never posted such stuff, but I've seen these Marina/Tinashe jokes online and had a good laugh and went ahead with my business....

Now I feel sad for laughing at them... :messga:

Marina, I'm so sorry... If possible forgive me :selena:

I mean, if it affects her that much, she should stay off social media.

Which she says she does as much as she can, but you literally can not avoid social media in any way? Especially if you‘re a singer that has amassed some kind of success.

And like just think of it that way: all she‘s asking is for people to not be d*cks, and you are kinda defending a stranger‘s „right“ to be thougtless, vulgar and mean for no reason. It‘s not that hard to be kind, but it‘s exhausting to constantly lash out in the long run.

I mean, it would be easier for (one person) to not read replies or get someone to run her social media for her than for thousands of people on twitter to get a new sense of humour.
Edit: I'm not condoning rudeness and disrespect, just being realistic.

While I can't put myself in the life of a celebrity, if you are going to be a pop star you have to be prepared for this type of comments. Again, I didn't see the tweets and I don't know if they really crossed the line.

I agree with Marina 100%.

But the person who made that comment seems like a genuine fan of Marina. In today's social media culture, it has become very common for fans of an artist to make jokes on their behalf. Fans do it without thinking twice, assuming that the artist will never see the tweet or will just take the comment as a light joke/teasing and move along.

Marina makes a very good point that these artists are real people who often times see these tweets, especially if they are a relatively small artist who obviously runs their own social media accounts. And that being exposed to so many of these type of comments can be hurtful and take a toll on a person's mental health.

Overall, I think it's a good idea for fans to be more mindful of the things they tweet to artists and for artists that are sensitive to this kind of stuff to limit their presence on social media, which sucks because I'm sure we would all like more fan interaction from Marina, Gaga, etc.

YES BITCH CLOCK. THEM.

i am SICK of stan humour

f*cking same. all artists are too afraid to say anything about it honestly for fear of wrecking their support. and honestly....pop stans would drag if anyone tried to. ATRL would immediately hate them and im sure theyre talking poorly of her right now for "caring". But at some point its like alright when is this going to end already anyway though? As much as im part of the problem and im on these forums and stuff I kind of think id enjoy everything a lot more if i wasnt, and I kind of think pop forums are ruining pop music in a way or at least contributing to why its so homogenized and not spontaneous enough.
