As I was getting ready to sleep, thinking about the VMAs and whether I'd wake up to a new Gaga performance or not tomorrow, I did think that she probably wouldn't be performing and that is a little frustrating after all the hype. Of course, if she does perform, it'll be an amazing day tomorrow for all of us as we are shocked by her VMA appearance...

 

However, if she doesn't, we do know she has recorded a new album, it is very likely these photos are being used to tease us for new music, ASIB content will be coming incredibly soon and it won't be long until ENIGMA starts. This is a very very exciting period for Gaga and these next few months will be wild so at least if there is NO VMA performance, we won't have to keep worrying about this silly show and look forward to the stuff we do know is happening

To be fair, this fan base has been causing the hype, she's just posting instagrams.

All the hype is coming from the fans though. They have never insinuated that she was performing so if people are disappointed tomorrow, that's really on them.

Eh, not entirely true. The VMAS have been using her for promotion once again, they're not stupid, I'm not surprised fans have got so hyped up - the constant emojis on photos, how the VMAS are happening at the same time Gaga posts cryptic photos, them (even more so than usual) using old Gaga content, "unexpected things might happen" - we're excited, it makes sense

This happens pretty much every year, though. It's always "Oh, Gaga is going to be a surprise performer!" even though that could easily be said about literally any other artist. They're just using her name and image to get people to watch the show.

This is how it goes: people speculate about whether or not she's going to be at the VMAs --> people complain because they say that the VMAs only use her for ratings --> something happens to make people think that she might perform --> she doesn't perform --> people get mad and complain. And then next year the cycle starts all over again. 

My problem is that people keep constantly say "Oh, the VMAs just use her for ratings!" Well then don't watch! People keep complaining but still watch hoping that Gaga is going to perform. That makes no sense.

I'm just saying that all SHE'S doing is posting cryptic grams. She hasn't mentioned the VMA's, stepped out in NY, dropped any VMA-oriented hints. It's us being delusional and desperate lol. 

(like I think something might happen) but Gaga herself is not conducting the hype train; it's the VMA's and the fans.

she could literally have a sold out show in japan or australia that day of the vma and some monster would still find some "hints" for her to suprise perform. and if its per sattelite or hologram.
