Coop 15,354
Disney is developing live-action fairytale film “Sadé,” centered on an African princess with “Dope” director Rick Famuyiwa attached to produce. The studio bought a pitch from Ola Shokunbi and Lindsey Reed Palmer, who will co-write the screenplay about a young African girl named Sadé whose kingdom is threatened by a mysterious evil force and accepts her newly discovered magical powers to protect her people, with the help of the kingdom’s prince. Famuwiya will produce and Scott Falconer will executive produce through their Verse production banner. Tendo Nagenda and Zoe Kent are overseeing the project for the studio. A director has yet to be named. Source

True but I guess they have done a good job before; Maleficent was great But this at least seems like just another 'omg dark magic disaster but whoops turns out she has magical powers so we're all okay but can she do it alone? no she depends on the prince! yeet!' sort of movie

Don't act like Cars 2 didn't have a complicated plot, one that was by all definitions intellectually stimulating. Spoiler

Glittertinks 12,459
Oh wow, they still havw money to produce something else than "live action" remakes the idea sounds basic so far, but who knows how the finished product will look like. 14 minutes ago, Brolysskins said: I want a Latina princess too You should definitely check out the series "Elena of Avalor", it's for children but Elena is a wonderful Latina princess. The world is inspired by different Spanish/Latin countries!
