Cardi B is a very local act. Yeah, I Like It it's being a worldwide hit, but it's very far away from JD and PF, even from the impact of Paparazzi. Also, Cardi B don't have any cultural impact outside USA. Here in Europe no-one knows Cardi B, even if they know I Like It.

The impact and success of Invasion of Privacy is VERY far away from The Fame.

I remember Britney when she came out, I was like 7-8, but I was VERY aware of popular culture and Britney was everywhere, the absolute biggest thing in music since Madonna. And I relived that phase when Gaga arrived and I'd say it's pretty equal. Of course, you have to remember times were different in terms of radio. Britney's debut was at a time when radio refused to play her, but she still smashed the charts WW and had her own doll line, spun copycats (Jessica Simpson, Mandy Moore) and suddenly everyone wanted to work with Max Martin. The peak was basically the same for both, but to claim Gaga's is bigger is nonsense. The cultural impact was the same although the public's interest lasted longer for Britney because of the press and her iconic meltdown.

Maybe Gaga won more awards but EVERYONE was talking about Britney when I was on the playground just like everyone was talking about Gaga when I started high school.

Oh honey. The Brits also had a commercial about Mariah Carey being the best-selling female artist of all time and the 'undisputed Queen of Pop' so I would take everything they say with a grain of salt, not a grain of TEA lol.

except 1989 had so many smash hits and charted for more than a year  

for some years now, her popularity declined and ARTPOP couldnt sell over 4m, i dont see how The Fame couldve sold 10m in that time

a new young bi guy with a fresh sound a la Shawn Mendes but more exciting/raw.

honestly this dude in my imagination could bring back theatrics for males. MJ, Prince, Bowie, etc. they were all exciting w their wardrobe, now every dude is just the same and I’m sick of their city games!!!
