I haven't heard these kind of things happened outside Aceh. Thank God I live in another region.

I've seen lots of men dressed as women and women dressed as men in the city where I live and people didn't concerned at all, they just let them be.

I'm a Muslim myself, and so are my family. We didn't have issues with the LGBT+ community (even my mom had plenty of LGBT+ friends), my family just teach me not to mind other's business since it's their own.

I am a muslim (culturally), and I must say most of the people I know (who are muslims, scary right?) are more accepting than people on this thread who blame everything on Islam as a religion. Seriously, this thread proves that even minorities can discriminate other minorities for something individuals did that has nothing to do with Islam as a belief and nothing to do with Islam as multiple races.

wow this whole thread brought tears to my eyes, it fills me with utter disgust that had I been born in a different nation/time period I would have been killed for loving

I respect an individual's right to believe and express religion but I will never, ever, ever respect any religion.  I don't respect ideologies when they force beliefs upon others and lead to enslavement and death and ultimately, all religions have done this and some still do (aka I have no respect for Christianity/Islam/all other religions but I do respect the fact others do pursue their faith and their right to do so)

edit: and the fact that some of y'all are joking and starting bs arguments?!  what is wrong with you??  people are dying/being harmed because of utter bull ideologies?  if there was an Abrahamic God, would he really sanction hanging and whipping his own creations, while he encourages selfless love??

With all the respect... We need to thank religion for this. We understand that religion has some good things to offer but when are we gonna stop killing people just because they do not live their lifes in the same way that my religion says that they should be doing it? OMG. We keep talking about Homosexuality like if it was something that we saw yesterday for the first time. Religion should not be taken into account to rule a country or create laws because not everybody is part of it. SO SAD... VERY SAD AND THOSE WHO WHIPED THEM CALL THEMSELVES PEOPLE OF GOD? Isn`t Hadith a part of Islam though? Aren`t they said to be killed by stoning, setting on fire or throwing from the highest building? Just like ISIS does, which of course has nothing to do with Islam.

And Quran itself does talk about Sodom and Gomorrah. Just because some people have been interpreting it differently doesn`t mean they are right either.

I didn`t choose Muslim to be written in my ID. Yet I cannot change it. In Sharia law, apostasy is punished by death. We really have no way out. 

And you are asking why if someone living in a city where sodomy is a crime would still do it? What are we supposed to do? Die a virgin? Live alone forever? I`m confused.

This is the problem. I have to paraphrase because a direct quotation is impossible and you know it is. Why? Because you're irrational.  I have no "passion" for this subject, I think it's pathetic that humans can still wilfully be brainwashed in this way.

If you don't know how warfare is justified in the quran then that shoes yet more blind ignorance regarding a faith that targets that kind of person.

If you believe it and I don't, why is that any bother to You? The only problem here is "believers" whipping people etc. Ever seen an extremist non-believer? No. 

You've willingly put yourself in the camp of people that openly hate. All religions are like that. I don't have to like it, you don't have to like my life choices, but go one further.. I don't even respect your choice. I think the choice to be part of any hateful religion (all of them pretty much.. maybe not Buddhist) knowing what you know about people who share the religion with you is a move and a stance in life that really shows the core of who you are. 

"We aren't all bad" you would be if you followed the scriptures correctly. That's every religion. All disgusting. Look what your religions have done to the world and explain to me why I should make any acceptances for such human-hating as religion.
