Even parts of the video look like Where Have You Been. Perhaps Rihanna didn't want it as it sounded too much like something from her Good Girl Gone Bad days? But this was a new sound for Selena, so she benefitted from it. But I think this just goes to prove that I really can't take the claim that Rihanna writes her own music seriously. She has rejected so many songs that other artists have taken that she had no involvement in the creation of to the point where it's clear she maybe writes a line or two at most.
