Paparazzi and Alejandro are Gaga's most timeless songs. Why?

Alejandro never sounded "fresh" imo. It's always been overly repetitive Ace of Bass-derivitive trash. I liked the demo a lot more

We don't pit skinny legends against each other on this site thank you.

But with that said I'll never ever get bored of Alejandro.

It must be hard being a Gaga fan when you hate 80% of her discography.

This :triggered:

OT: Every song on TF/M are timeless classics that aged like fine wine, it's just a shame some Gaga fans have taste similar to that of sour milk:ohwell:

Applause still sounds as fresh as the first time I heard it.

Oh Honey...

Bad Romance, Y&I, Edge Of Glory, Million Reasons and Born This Way will never "rot"

:grr:

If BR came out today, exactly as it is, everyone would say it sounds dated. Because it does.

Do you have anything positive to say about Gaga?

I agree that Paparazzi and Alejandro are two of her best songs ever and have stood the test of time, possibly because her vocals are very sweet/smooth in them and the production on each is perfectly suited to the vocals. Also they are mid tempo tracks, which in my opinion are often more likely to sound “fresh” years later than more uptempo songs.

A lot, actually.
Just because I'm not all "Ooh, Gaga, the best on the planet, superstar, making money and making hits, she's perfect!" doesn't mean I don't like her.

That might be right but for someone who calls Bad Romance dated, that speaks a lot about your taste.

It is dated, though. The synths used, the the europop syle, etc. I'm not saying it's necessarily a bad song. That's dow to opinion. But objectively, it sounds like a song from 2009, not 2018.
