Of course people were irritated by it: everything she said was true about our culture and They. Were. Not. Having. It. I think she definitely knew that this album wasn't going to outsell everyone but I'm glad she decided to spend sometime creating something masterful and genuine and introspective. dlioncourt91 765 Posted July 2, 2018 Share Posted July 2, 2018 Eh, not two albums of her I revisit much but I'd give it to American Life simply for that three song punch sequence of Nothing Fails/Intervention/X-Static Process as well as closing with Easy Ride. Music has mixture of left over ROL from Orbit and Mirwais finding the sound for American Life, serving a bridge piece between both records.
