Again....

this time ----Marvin Gaye “Let’s Get It On”

Ed Sheeran has injected millions of dollars into the music business via his enormously popular songs and tours — and for copyright-infringement lawsuits.

Following a $20 million suit over his song “Photograph” :huntyga:(which was settled out of court) another over “The Rest of Our Life,”:huntyga: which he composed for Tim McGraw and Faith Hill (which Sheeran has asked to have dismissed), here comes another over “Thinking Out Loud.”:huntyga: Owners of that song’s copyright claims that it lifts from Marvin Gaye’s 1972 classic “Let’s Get It On” and are seeking $100 million in damages.

Sheeran, 27, has faced infringement claims over other songs, including "Photograph" and "Shape of You.":huntyga:(Sia's "cheap thrill"/TLC's "No Scrubs")

Another source:

Another lawsuit was filed in 2016 against Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud“ by the daughter of Ed Townsend, who co-wrote “Let’s Get It On” with Gaye.Sheeran claimed she had no right to file the suit according to California state law, however, since she was the biological daughter to Mr Townsend but adopted by another family at birth. He was also sued earlier this year by songwriters Sean Carey and Beau Golden, who claimed he copied one of their melodies for the 2017 single he wrote for Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, “The Rest of Our Life.”

Sheeran has since filed paperwork denying those allegations and describing the song he wrote as “an originally and independently created musical composition.”

In 2014, Sheeran was sued by two songwriters(Matt Cardle from XFactor)  over copyright infringement for allegedly using identical notes in his single “Photograph”:huntyga: from a song they wrote in 2009 entitled “Amazing.”

I can't wait for Will Smith to sue him over "Sing", some parts sounds like "Miami" chorus "Party in the city where the heat is on, all night, on the beach till the break of dawn"..

I swear, when I heard Sing for the first time, I had Miami in my mind for the whole day :selena:

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

Those songs are quite simple and generic. Of course they sound like many other songs.

Matt Cardle may not be very popular since his XFactor win but it's obvious that Ed Sheeran and his song writing team copied one of his songs. It's too similar for it to be coincidental.
