Shes not at all. Trinidadians often have some south asian descent meaning Indian, Pakistani, Sri Lankan, etc. But it has nothing to do with the eastern asian culture shes representing here. What you're saying is so true i felt the same way.

This is the definition:

Cultural appropriation is a concept dealing with the adoption of the elements of a minority culture by members of the dominant culture. It is distinguished from equal cultural exchange due to the presence of a colonial element and imbalance of power.

 

This is basically a minority adopting elements of another minority.

Having said that, I do think if BTS or another asian artist adopted elements of african american culture, people would not be happy with that.
