Because it was unlike anything anyone had ever seen before and executed to pure perfection. Bad Romance made weird cool and that was momentous

Well, when it comes to success - easily.

You can't deny that those songs were MASSIVE hits. People won't look at them as classics in future, but they for sure will still be played.

Just because they were popular doesn't mean they're on Bad Romance's level in terms of having an impact on pop culture, and they are far from being as iconic as Bad Romance is.

If you’re talking about strictly streaming or worldwide sales, then yes those music videos listed are “comparable” to Bad Romance. However, and I’m not sure if you’re actually looking for a legitimate answer to your question...Bad Romance was a pop culture MOMENT. It was at the peak of Gaga’s popularity, after Gaga had four huge hit singles with accompanying videos, and Gaga was the “it” girl at the time. It was unexpected and encapsulates Lady Gaga’s aura and cultural significance in a way that no other song of hers does, and no song you listed can be said for those respective artists. The music video was the most watched on YouTube at the time and the song, choreography, and fashion, were pervasive at the time. This was a song fraternities at my college used to haze young blood but it was also blasted in the university gym and covered by every acapella and dance group and parodied by countless fans. It drew comparisons to MJ’s Thriller not solely because of the dance moves, but because it brought music video imagery and creativity to the forefront of pop culture in a way that hadn’t been done in years prior to its release. She won multiple Grammys for this song and its music video won a record number of awards; more importantly, years later it is still remembered as Gaga’s most iconic and, to many, best song and it still sounds fresh and unique today. There’s no denying that songs like Work, On Floor, and Despacito are big worldwide hits, but the moment that Bad Romance was, stan card aside, puts it on a justifiable pedestal above these other hits and several of her own.

Because it changed pop culture forever. If it wasn't for Bad Romance, the music industry wouldn't be, what it is to day.

Just Dance is more iconic, though.

A lot of those songs you compared it to were around in the streaming age tho. So you’re talking about it’s wild success, yet it didn’t even have the platforms those songs did

Bad Romance came out when the iPhone was 2 years old, for perspective. It’s rightfully commended, and honestly revolutionary. It ushered in the pop girl renaissance.

Did you just compared those songs to Bad Romance? lol

I mean, if you compare success maybe (not even all of them, where are the diamond certified songs in that list?)

But quality wise? No effin way. Impact in music and pop culutre? No effin way.
