Ok some of my knowledge of the Bible is rusty these days but I thought Sodom and Gomorrah was destroyed for badness in general including violence. I don't think it was for homosexuality specifically??? In fact I think it was just a side mention Also I think killing gays was part of the mosaic law which only applied to a specific Nation which I can't remember (I think it might of been Israel) and on top of that I think their religious leaders the Pharisees added to the law themselves that God himself didn't command. Whether a religion condones homosexuality or not, most discrimination against our people is done by regular religious people and not extremists who make up a very small percentage of religious people. Gays are still being stoned to death, and thrown from buildings, persecuted in every category of life activity including work and education, and all of that is due to a deep rooted religious belief which turned into societal norm. So whatever the religion teaches or was meant to teach, nearly all discrimination against gay people is due to religious practice ingrained in our society to the point that people aren't even religious and still manage to hate gays because society has been taught to see us as abnormal. Killing gays is explicit in the Jewish and Islam books but the Jews don't do that anymore, the Islam yes, but it depends on the area and the country and also in the branch of Islam.. Constantine actually brought the death sentence to Christianity, he ordered to kill gays and male prostitutes and it became a part of the Christianity punishments.. I didn't read the whole thing but basically the only issue is people there can't have sex outside of marriage? Meaning that unmarried straight people (ie the vast majority of students) can't do it either? LGBT people are still free to attend as long as they abstain/are celibate like all the straight people in it? If you don't agree with that don't attend the school... "Abstaining from sex outside of a heterosexual marriage". A person's sex life should not be the business of a university. The only activities a school's code of conduct should forbid are illegal activities and things that a violation of academic integrity (cheating on exams, plagiarism, etc).
