We should pledge to watch the movie before listening to soundtrack

There’s so much hype and positive impressions from major figures in Hollywood, but I’m going to hold off on listening to the soundtrack if it comes out before the movie and I *highly* suggest you do too.

Why?

Songs often requires context in films for the most impact. Some songs will be MUCH more meaningful if listened to in the context of the movie. 

So sign your name and watch the movie before the soundtrack! (Then immediately rush to iToons and download it)

I will watch the movie first, then listen to the soundtrack later. 

We all know the power of emotion in music and I think it will be so much better if I don't already know the songs...

I’ll listen to the lead ASIB single released but not the soundtrack until I’ve seen the movie.

1000000% will wait for the movie to listen to the soundtrack. I also am doing everything I can to avoid all spoilers and won't watch anymore trailers. I will make an exception for the lead single, I'll play that on repeat for weeks. But the soundtrack should come out right around the movie release anyhow, so it just makes sense really.

Also, I don't know whether everybody has realised this yet, buuuut, it's HIGHLY likely that the soundtrack and movie versions will be different.

The version of The Shallow played in the trailer was definitely not live - it was the studio version. So, what's the point in waiting when they're different anyway?
