Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett were filming in the studio last week

I’m one of the few people who is excited for Tony x Gaga second album- I love vocal jazz and I love Cheek to Cheek.

She has a lot of music in the pipeline, I’m very excited

Even those of us who don't like jazz need to recognize that C2C has changed the way the general public perceives Gaga. Tony Bennett is a living legend. It's good for her to be noticed by this more mature audience who used to see her as a joke. This is good for her career in the long run. We all need to relax.

Btw, I'm betting this project may be some kind of TV special (?), or even Netflix. Maybe this justifies the recent outfits.

Do you know how easy it is to record a jazz record? With a band as good as Tony’s and with every song arranged it is a lot of one takes.  I’d still expect a Jazz record in time for Christmas just because 🤷🏼‍♂️

it took them a few months to make C2C, i really doubt they whacked out a full album all finished within 3 days

I’m talking about the recording. If the arrangements were in place, all Gaga had to do was come in and sing for 3 days.  The songs are standards. Maybe it takes 2 months to record if you can’t afford 8 hours of studio time a day. 

 

Just saying its not out of the question.

I doubt, she spent a lot of time in the studio for CTC

Anyway, tbh I doubt she'll involve that much in the promo of a new jazz album especially if she has a movie + a soundtrack, a Vegas residency and a solo album to promote in the coming months

Honestly I doubt there’d be as much promotion  as CTC. CTC was pushed heavily because it was meant to reignite her career / talent / how she was viewed by the GP in general.  I think at this point she can put out a quick jazz record, give the people who want it what they want, and collect a cute Grammy in the meantime.  It also could be a single but I’m really just trying to tell you guys it doesn’t take 2 months to record vocals for a jazz record if the music is arranged  and decided on 😂

It wasn't just for fans and paparazzi, but for filming the recording of songs with Tony.

However I remember Gaga or someone official say that recording Jazz standard doesn't take that much time, obviously not as much as a brand new pop album/soundtrack for ASIB.

So C3C could be likely already finished and there would be nothing strange about it.
