Too much risks to take here. Unless Trump wants to burn many bridges with this of course.  The only possible thing that may happen is that Trump will raise the tax for these German cars.

It would be one thing if Conservatives hated Trump, and some do, but many have gotten over him and accepted hes president, and the Conservative media and pundits will 100% coalesce around their person even if they don't like, even if hes not a real conservative, and constantly use media to spread propaganda and misinformation into getting uninformed masses to like him too. That being said, much of Trump's "policy" is truly, just anti whatever Obama and Democrats have done before, regardless of whether it is unequivocally good for the country and the world, so while this one thing may be undone if Dem's take over (and win back House or Senate or get close so its not just a stalemate lol) there may still be permanent damage to our global perception and standing with allies and non allies.

You have a lot of valid points. So many people are saying that there's no way he will be reelected, but you have to keep in mind that he has a highly devoted, almost cult-like base of followers who will support whatever he does unwaveringly. Also, many American voters, especially religious people, are single-issue voters and will always vote Republican because of their stance on abortion. The Democrats have got to stop trying to pander to the blue-collar voting demographic because they will ALWAYS vote against their better interests just to make sure that people they don't like will not get something they don't want them to have, and they need to stop trying to sway conservative voters. Instead, they need to focus on the younger demographic and getting more people to vote, period. In 2016, the Democrats' platform was basically "Hillary isn't Trump!" and you see how that worked. They're going to have to be a lot smarter this time around.

Also, what you said about Trump is true as well. He doesn't know how to govern. All he knows how to be is anti-Obama and anti-liberal, and that guides the entirety of his decision-making. I still have no idea why so many Americans thought someone with zero political experience would be an ideal president.
