Who are they to talk? Saying American Life is bad and a flop when Despacito has been #1 for the whole past year in Spain?

¿Qué currículum tiene ésta tarántula?

Confessions was, is, and always will be a MASTERPIECE (except I love NY).

This. Hung Up was #1 in 40+ countries, what are they calling a flop?

I mean they aren’t really wrong and Im a huge Madonna fan. But I think theyre wrong about Confessions. That album definitely has a lot of what American Life was but wrapped in a disco dance beat that appealed to the masses. So she basically tricked the public into listening to her message. But definitely Hard Candy to now. Nothing has been as good as Pre-Hard Candy. I definitely think Rebel Heart is a step in the right direction and Im really excited about this new album because it seems like she has returned to form. It is definitely okay for her to have a silly dance album like Hard Candy where she just wants to talk about nothing. Prior to that her last true “silly fun” album was Like a Virgin so i think she definitely has to right to just make an album with nothing besides a good beat and funky lyrics. But MDNA was just ****ing stupid haha. Im sorry but that album is trash. There are a couple of gems on that album but 90% of it is terrible.

So yes Im excited for her new American Life esque album! I cant wait for her to speak out again. I hope the world is ready to listen.

Mdna was only a reason for her to tour

Just about all of the Rebel Heart outtakes sounds like a return to the American Life sound - “God Is Love,” “Nothing Lasts Forever,” “Tragic Girl,” and “Revolution,” as well as the songs “Joan Of Arc” and “Illuminati” - so this only proves that she would be open to producing a similar album and theme :excited2:

At the end of the day at least she was pushing boundaries for most of her career. Her creative spark did mellow down ever since like 2005 ish but still. She served for so many years before becoming safe.

Guys, it's Madonna. For every decade, she has had a massive peak, it's inevitable. Sure the last albums were meh; but, I'm pretty sure she'll dominate again within the decade. It's her cycle.

Inside, we are really made the same. 🕊

She's going to explode into her 90s

Really why not though? It’s amazing! Am I on another planet where COAD is not getting what she deserves?

I Don't Give A is the worst Madonna song. Literally.

Are you kidding me? MDNA is literally "I'm gonna show this Gaga bitch that I still have it". Living For Love was a really weak attempt to record a self empowering song. :rip:

Stop being so delusional lol... Gaga is not the center of the universe.. Madonna did not record entire albums as a response to Gaga :rip:

They're not saying it's a flop they're saying it sold way less than her previous albums which is true and even so they defended the album for being deep and going against the system did you even read the article :selena:

But I believed Hard Candy sold ~4 million copies worldwide and ARTPOP sold ~2.5 million :poot:

ARTPOP can't be far from 4 million...

I don't know why you all say it sold 2.5M copies... It literally sold 2.7M copies in 1 month as of december 2013, 3.1M copies as of january 2014, the numbers weren't updated by Billboard since then but it has charted a lot on world wide iTunes since then, particularly in 2016/2017, way more than PRISM...

The idea of creating a succesful product based on her political and social views didn't work on her favor, so she's never worked on any ambitious project since.

This part is so true. It's a sad trend that you see with some artists. :stalkga:

Agreed. And I can't speak for her previous shows, but the Rebel Heart tour was a SLOG to sit through.
