Perfume 8,801
After literally FOUR years, it’s just been discovered that the track from her 2014 LP, Ultraviolence, is in fact a cover with switched perspectives. The original song is a rare one from Velvet Underground called ‘The Queen of Brooklyn’ and was recorded in 1969. In Del Rey’s version, She switched the (debatable) first/third person view to the perspective of the girlfriend in the original. Check out the original song below along with Del Rey’s version. an angel held me like a child

Perfume 8,801
Extra weird when you realize Lana was literally flying TO meet Lou Reed and have him on THIS song, but then he passed away when she was on the plane. It’s just so weird that she never mentioned it. We always thought it was her song and they got him to collaborate with her on it an angel held me like a child
