I really hated that she worked with him when AP came out, I've gotten over it but I still see it as one of the most problematic decision shes ever made. Gaga knew about his past and that was apart of the attraction, she seemed to sympathized with him: “well, it’s an R&B song and I’m a White chick from New York, so we better call the King of R&B and see if he likes it”. And he did, he loved it. When he sang on it, it was magical. He’s a very talented person and I feel connected to him because he’s also plagued by other people’s projections of what he is. In a way, it’s showing my fans how to have a more detailed and critical eye with music and what they’re looking at.” (BBCR1 W/ Scott Mills) I dont think she believed the accusations about R Kelly, or she naively thought that the press was trying to make a situation worse. To Gaga, it made sense for them both to be on a song about how the press and people alike trash celebrities, because they both gone through it. It would of been a good idea if it wasn’t all true when it came to R Kelly.
