Ohmagod.. out of every pop star, they picked her..? I seriously am curious as to whether the writer has seen Gaga perform or watched ANY interview

They don't know what they are talking about... if they had researched this at all they would know that it is quite the opposite. She is all about the music, and she doesn't care about fame or money

Yup. I can tell, in the long run, the press isn't going to like Lady Gaga. Same thing happened to Madonna.

Dont think the article is negative towards Gaga personally. Like most people do, if they want to talk about todays music they'll start with Gaga. She is seen as the pinnacle of whats bad or good about today's music. No one ever starts with Katy and trickles down to other artists.

That being said...dont think the author did enough research on Gaga before the fame.

And another thing that people dont understand is that, first of all, everyone is an artist. There are bad and good artists but everyone is an artist none the less.

Gaga can sing and play the piano. But she can also dance and create a setpiece to perform on. That is included in her artistry as well. You can be a good artist by just relying on singing or you can add more.

Lady Palutena

They finally noticed that GaGa rolled her eyes at the reporter in their first interview :fan:

Yup. I can tell, in the long run, the press isn't going to like Lady Gaga. Same thing happened to Madonna.

But Madonna does kind of deserve it, she's not a very nice person :hor:

Adoremus in caelum, Palutena. Dea luminis.

Tbh, I don't think the person who wrote this article did a shred of research before writing it. :pressed:

She basically compares Gaga to a YouTube sensation that just became famous out of nowhere, and forgets the fact that Gaga worked her ass off to get where she's at, and she's still working her ass off now. She implies that to be an artist, you can only be good at ONE thing. Lady Gaga is talented in many fields. Gaga is a wonderful vocalist, pianist, songwriter, and performance artist. She compares her to Adele, who is basically only talented at two things, just singing and songwriting.

Because Gaga is skilled and talented in many fields, she utilizes all of her talents in her performances. Just because she includes more than just singing in her performances, and Adele doesn't, does not mean Gaga is less of an artist than Adele. Lady Gaga sings all of her songs live, just like Adele sings all of her songs live, so the journalist's statement is completely false. And btw, "Lady Gaga" and "Lip-sync" should never should never show up in the same sentence without "doesn't" in between them. :nails:

The writer also implies that Gaga uses her outfits and performances to hide some sort of lack of talent, which is completely false. Gaga is an amazingly talented vocalist, and there are MANY performances in which Gaga just sits down at her piano and sings her ass off. These performances showcase her wonderful piano-playing and her beautiful voice. :flutter:

The writer of this article obviously didn't know that, because she didn't do her damn research before discussing and judging Gaga. Gaga doesn't need to hide anything. She wears the clothes she wears because it's a part of her performance, not just some gimmick or attention-seeking antic. Gaga is a not just a vocalist, or a pianist, she is a PERFORMANCE ARTIST.

The writer of this article needs to go do their research before they write about topics they clearly don't understand or are terribly misinformed about.

Rollercoaster

Uh, what a poorly researched piece of crap. Some points:

Gaga worked the club/bar scene for a long time

Big stage shows aren't exclusive to pop (360 tour, rolling stones, glass spider) so that part of it is irrelevant.

Gaga isn't releasing a perfume to become more famous, what a stupid thought.

I could go on. This article goes to show that Gaga needs to show her skill to some people, even at this point they don't see what's infront of their faces.

I can't wait till the year she goes normal. One era where she dresses fashionably but not avant garde, brings out some incredible music, has interesting performances but isn't shocking. Goes through a whole era of being a musical goddess and nothing more, proving to these ****s that she IS an artist.

Then, at one awards show, when she's expected to be 'Normal Gaga' she appears on the red carpet as so, then comes out and shocks with something crazy and a brand new song as if nothing had changed. And the song can be crazy dance pop again but with a strong message that she can be who she wants to be, and her elaborate performances don't make her any less of an artist.

We all know she isn't a pop artist anyway, she's a performance artist. Music is just one side to her, but it will be nice when she does concentrate solely on music one day.

Omg this, totally.
