Zayn is dropped by manager amid “difficult to work with” claims

Manager Sarah Stennett of First Access Entertainment has terminated her relationship with former One Direction member Zayn Malik, Variety has learned. Malik, whose second solo album is due in June on RCA, had worked with Stennett since his 2015 departure from One Direction.

Sources say the artist is challenging to work with, declining many promotional opportunities and not touring behind his last album, although he is planning one behind the new set. 

When contacted by Variety, Stennett confirmed the news, adding, “Sometimes in life you have to make extremely difficult decisions to effect positive change for everyone.”

Zayn suffers from extreme anxiety so I’m not sure how “declining many promotional opportunities and not touring behind his last album” correlates to difficult to work with...

They're dropping him NOW for not touring his first album?? He recently said he's ready to tour so I think there must be some other reason that they just dont wanna tell everyone..

It makes no sense to drop him now for his first album when he's planning to tour and promote his newest one? There's obviously something else going on personally.. I know there were rumours, I honestly hope he's okay. I like him & his music.

Tbh, he's very talented and attractive and makes good music. But you can just tell by looking at him, he has clear body issues that he needs to sort out. Your head isn't in a clear space when you're dealing with eating disorders, and you take it out on those around you. 

Hope he finds some space, clarity and gets help tho.

I had heard many times that he has anxiety about performing on stage, which is a little problematic for a stage performer. Regardless, hope it's not substance abuse and that he gets help if need be.

Nope this makes perfect sense actually, his manager wasn’t forcing him to promote or over working him in fact she was being very liberal with him. But at the end of the day she’s an employee of his record label and her job is to manage and promote him, if he doesn’t cooperate and doesn’t wanna do anything at all besides look pretty and put out pop songs then her job is kinda useless and she needs to get paid and keep her job so...

He needs a manager and record label more suited to his needs if he really has anxiety tbh
