I think this, I don’t know how old you are, but it’s so naive and young mind to think that she is “not for the money”.

What Gaga is doing is s big business plan to sell more.

If she was really for the fans she would go indie..

Gaga and even Troy bragged in the past that they found the perfect business approach - social medias, for example.

I don't know I am sure she wants to make good music and that's more important than selling a lot

I think it has more to do with the fact that many of the songs on The Fame were written when she was so young, and the lyrical content is a bit immature for her to relate to now. Could you imagine her singing Paper Gangsta or Money Honey after us seeing her perform The Sound of Music at the Oscars?

Many of her older songs also hold bad memories. The producer of Teeth sued her, she got into a fight with the producer of Telephone, and Fusari is a trove of bad memories for her.

Teddy Riley sued Gaga for royalties. Something must've been wrong on his end because not only is that unlike Gaga, but if you're bored then check out his other mess.

As for Telephone, Gaga made shady remarks on interviews during TFM/BTW era saying that she loves the song, but that "production was very difficult" - implying that there were a lot of problems and disagreements between her and the producer when they made the song.

Wasn't that about the music video?

Why would she want you to believe that her best work was 10 years ago? It doesn't represent her now and it's kind of a slap in the face. It's like saying Beyoncé was best when she was a part of Destiny's child- she doesn't want to hear that.

woop hey there keep scrolling

Once she became HUGE, she decided to take more control. She became bizarre, weird and eccentric

She's always been like this though, she probably just had a lower budget in the earlier years.

But overall I agree with what you're saying.

Hum :awkney: I don't care if Gaga says we should never stream The Fame, if I like that album I will listen to it. She doesn't choose what I listen or like. Even if she told me Born This Way is her worst album ever, for me it's still her best and I will stan for it.

And taking Gaga's word is a not a very secure argument. Her statements about the control over her career, her artistic choices, or the things she's forced to do, change every year or two.

Realistically, there's always someone behind her work. Nothing is 100% Gaga. A few weeks ago someone claimed she actually had more creative control in the beginning lol fans like to make these deep analysis about Gaga and her career, but in the end always forget she's a pop star with a big impact and everything she does is actually calculated. She's a businesswoman, and it's the face of a huge music business.

The reason why we haven't had a lot of The Fame performances is because there has been an attempt over the last three or four years to change Gaga's image and give her new signature songs, otherwise she will always be the Poker Face and Bad Romance singer. Not for any personal reasons, rather than ensuring her career moves forward.

EDIT: you know, for some reason Gaga was HUGE in the beginning. I'm sad that fans try to deny what made Gaga the genius pop star we today worship. Whether she had less control or not, the fact is she made pop music something meaningful and brilliant again. And she was as irreverent as she was when she used to do the shows with Lady Starlight.

If her creativity and ideas were censored during The Fame, well maybe they were doing something right (don't tell me her creativity has been flourishing the last few years).

Well it's certainly not my favorite album. She did what she had to do to make a name for herself and make an impact, and that's totally fine. I mean, it worked, right? But since TF she's proven that she's capable of so much more than catchy hooks and crazy outfits. She's proven that she's not a gimmick, but a well-rounded talented artist.
