I love that they're honest. Dua Lipa is already a legend and the voice of our generation :queenga:

She just has huge backing and they're really trying to push her. Not saying shes horrible or anything but its just obvious when the industry is trying to make someone happen vs. when it happens organically.

holy scheisse

I mean she's more than a 1 hit wonder in the UK. Probably one of the biggest female pop stars they've had over there in a while.

But . They missed the mark comparing her to Madonna so prematurely.

I thought this was an April Fool's joke too :toofunny:

I love Dua, but she is not even close to being what Madonna was in the 80's atm

I think its quite obvious that they're saying she is at the beginning of a career that has as much potential as madonnas did at a young age. y'all always looking for someone to drag, but the fact is that she is one of the most promising pop stars in our current music landscape. Its a massive statement but dont act like the girl doesnt have immense potential.

Call me when Dua sings about things other than love, heartbreak & empowerment.

Madonna was tapping into vulgar topics such as sex, homosexuality, religion, racism etc...pretty early into her career.

I guess we will have to wait and see if Dua gets brave but right now she seems to me like any other pop girl out. Not saying she does not have the potential to do something daring like Madonna in the future but right now she's just a pretty face, with a nice vocal tone and cute writing skills and from what I heard DL2 is going to be in the same vein of her debut (she said it herself) so...
