i admit MTWBT had a boring to non-existing storyline but i think most of the work was put in creating a beautiful aesthetic and i think in that way, the video did its job (i do agree with you in saying that it really isnt the video of the decade but it could have been much worse haha). same with freak.

hm was leaked (she even said herself she didnt want to release it because "nothing really happened in it :ladyhaha:" )

during uv era, she made some comments about feminism and wanting to be dead that caused quite the backlash.  the album and especially the song ultraviolence had this cult-leader-storyline that, when translated into visuals, certainly would not have helped her image back then. rumour has it that they shot an expensive video for ultraviolence, but then decided not to release it and frankenstein it into freak video.

the drowning scene in shades of cool was elso edited out. 

uv, ha ARTPOP era!
