Call me when Gaga will have 4 albums to sell more than 1m copies in the us in a week. Oh wait, everything she puts out after BTW struggles to do even 500k. Also, you're comparing 2011 to 2017 sales :rip:

A 400M + gross tour will make you seethe

You're pretty stupid, aren't you?

2011 sales were low as f_ck too, don't act like 2011 sales are so much better than 2017. Sales were dead then too.

Michael Jackson never sold 1 million in a week, are you telling me Taylor is bigger than him?

By your dumb ass logic, call me when Taylor has 9 consecutive Top 10 singles like Gaga had from 2008-2012.

And what's that made-up $400 million tour? LOL, she's not Beyonce, bitch.

Dont call anybody stupid, thats rude, esp when you dont understand mathematic inflation.

Theres absolutely no reason for you to blow a fuse. You know were all gaga fans right? we get attacked enough, lets not do it on each other. I dont know how old you are so i dont know if you are immature or just plain rude. Dont call other fans stupid. Thats not nice. Im not breaking it down to '1 million in a week' for 1 album? Who has? I honestly didnt know gaga had, for that im sorry. Its a good thing to know.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lists_of_fastest-selling_albums

MJ has sold more than 1 mill (1.1) in a week!! but im not sure whether it was 1 album or combined.

https://www.billboard.com/articles/news/268083/michael-jackson-sells-11-million-albums-in-one-week

PS, im not a Taylor stan, just incase you think I am

Taylor in a week 1.23

https://www.theguardian.com/music/2017/nov/21/taylor-swift-reputation-biggest-selling-us-album-2017-in-one-week

PPS apart from calming down, people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. You said Taylor would never.. well apart from being psychic you cant say that. Youre making us look like a fan group that cant cope with the fact that Taylor is doing better than gaga. Gaga was fresh back then, amazing, she caught peoples interest. The longevity has worn off but as I said before, I prefer it that way, she can explore more and we get more intimate moments with her.

Give up arguing, nobody here wants to play this immature game it could introduce other people to the forum if youre saying 'ooh the decline!' Were not in a place to argue.

You're right, I'm sorry. That was a bit rude.

That said, Gaga did have a 1 million first week too.

Also, all I'm saying is Gaga's peak was bigger than Taylor's peak - at least worldwide. And her decrease right now is bigger than Gaga's during BTW.

Born This Way was more popular worldwide than Reputation in terms of sales and singles, promo or not.

When Born This Way spent SIX WEEKS atop the Billboard Hot 100, it did so with only sales and radio. Taylor's Look How You Made Me Flop After The Hype Was Dead and Radio Never Really Played Me was number one only THREE WEEKS and it did so with sales, radio and STREAMING, something Billboard wasn't counting when BTW debuted. And even without streaming, BTW spent more weeks at #1.

FACT is Taylor is doing HALF of Born This Way worldwide right now (6 million vs. 3 million), so this proves my point even more: Taylor has not, is not and will not be bigger than Gaga's peak worldwide :trollga:

I was talking about the US.

But Gaga SOLD MORE ALBUMS, had MORE HITS and had a BIGGER PEAK worldwide. You said Taylor was bigger which is complete nonsense when it comes to Gaga's PEAK. Taylor's 1989 was NOT bigger than Gaga's The Fame in any way, shape or form.

To further prove my point, I'd like to point out the fact that there's something called INFLATION. Meaning that Gaga actually did $247 MILLION in 2017 dollars.

Swift can't sell out a stadium outside of NA and Australia and that's a F A C T, not especially selling out a stadium in Paris (71k).

That's probably not going to be the case after June because she has 3 stadiums lined up in the UK that she's going to be performing in for 2 nights each

Yes, but outside of America Red, Fearless and Speak Now have all three (remember: excluding their US sales) sold less than 5 million combined. Born This Way alone sold 4.8 million outside of America

The Fame sold a whooping NINE MILLION COPIES outside of the US. 1989 sold five million outside of America. Red, for example, sold 1 million outside of the US. ARTPOP sold more than that overseas :toofunny:

My point is just the fact that Gaga's popularity peak is waaaaay bigger than Taylor's outside of America.

You are right, reputation, despite being the biggest female era of the year with absolute ease (only female in the IFPI Top 10 for overall consumption), is a big decline from 1989. But thankfully, this is her 6th album and not her 2nd, and she was 11 years into her career when she released it, not less than 3 :trollga:

Your point was that Gaga was a bigger album seller than Taylor, which is not true overall or for the US. She was a bigger album seller outside the US in the beginning of her career, but that is also no longer true. Reputation - 1.5m outside of the US sold. Joanne - less than 1m.

I won't even mention ARTPOP and 1989.

Popularity peak is not really something that you can measure in numbers (at least exact ones).

Less than 1 million for Joanne is not bad considering it's looked at as a "flop" or "moderate" era :laughga:

Which could mean that Gaga's potential *hit* album might even outsell Reputation overseas aka. Reputation is really not THAT big of a hit outside of America.

You're right about popularity peaks, but it's safe to assume that the overall popularity of Gaga during her first two eras is bigger than any Taylor era. I mean, look at Gaga's biggest singles and their chart performance and compare that to Taylor's.

There's a reason Gaga was compared to Madonna and Britney and not Taylor :trollga:

Ooh dont open that can of worms. Youll get everyone turning up from the copying Madonna squad.

reputation album sales slayed everyone in the industry, including our fave. her singles underperformed for her standards but the tour is about to become one of the highest grossing ever and she really should promote more, even just to give something to her fans because this era has been really uneventful

these are facts, there's no point in playing "well ___ outsold ___ in 2009" cus that was 2009 and now is now

if you want numbers like taylor for gaga, support gaga as much as you can and that's the tea
