Fijación Oral Vol. 1 is Shakira's forth studio album (sixth technically, but we don't count the first two ), released in June 3rd 2005. In the vein of her earlier work, Fijación Oral Vol. 1 is a Latin pop album. At its release, Fijación Oral Vol. 1 received generally favorable reviews from music critics, who complimented Shakira's evolution from her earlier work. Metacritic awarded it with a 79/100.

The album debuted at #4 on the US Billboard 200, with first-week sales of 157,000 copies. It set a record as the highest debut for a full-length Spanish-language album in the country which still stands. Internationally, the album topped the charts in Argentina, Germany, Mexico and Spain. Fijación Oral Vol. 1 was the Best Latin Rock/Alternative Album at the 2006 Grammy Awards, and the Album of the Year and the Best Female Pop Vocal Album at the Latin Grammy Awards. It also became the highest selling Latin pop album of the decade in the United States and the second highest selling Latin album overall. As of 2017, more than 5,000,000 copies of the album have been confirmed to have sold worldwide. It is the 8th best-selling Latin album in the United States.

Every lyric in this album was written by Shakira herself.

Four singles were released to promote the album. Although its lead single ('La Tortura') was the only track to reach the US Billboard Hot 100, the follow-up singles 'No', 'Día De Enero' and 'Las De La Intuición' enjoyed moderate success on the Hot Latin Songs, Tropical Songs and Latin Pop Airplay charts. 'La Pared (Acústico)' was also released as a promo single in Mexico and Spain, reaching #1 in Spain

I'm definitely doing this one. I know I said the same about the Vol. 2 , but honestly I haven't listened to that one. And I know Shakira shines the most when she sings in Spanish (And this album has many jewels).

True, I meant 'hurting me' as in 'causing me grief', but that sounds so awkward so I chose to translate it that way. So it would be:

I'm going to ask you not to come back again

My translations are a bit loose but I think they retain pretty well the original meaning as well as still sounding kind of good

This is much more close to the original lyrics. Anyways, this is something that rarely happens when it's time to translate music throught two or more languages. Even some songs of Shakira may change when they are translated. To me the most perfect translation from her would be En Tus Pupilas = Something.
