No I'm not.

But she could have meth without religion and she would still have eyes.

If it wasn't for religion it could have been any other reasons. It happened to be "sacrifice your eyes for heaven" but it could have been "sacrifice your eyes" for any other dumb reasons.

The problem here is meth. Stop trying to force your agenda where it's not relevant.

The problem is the drug here, not the religion

The problem here are clearly the drugs she was taking, which made her hear voices telling her to sacrifice her eyes.

Ever heard of irony? :awkney:

EDIT: oh ****, that person was serious?! :laughga:

Stay away from religious beliefs for your own safety.

You wanna live faithless that's your life , but don't write stupidity about other people belief because it ain't funny or useful and it's obvious here that drugs are the reason.

The drugs are sometimes used without harm to others by way of trauma like this. Self-harm almost  There's no known record of anyone not being psychologically effected by religion.

So why didn’t every other member in the congregation gouge their eyes out if religion was the cause for that action :oprah: And I’ve never heard from reputable, peer-reviewed psychological journals on religion that suggest this to be a normal behavior as such so. Idk about that.

And she could have religion without meth and still have eyes, too. So not a valid point whatsoever.

It clearly and unequivocally was the drugs. We can complain about religious toxicity on another thread so move along.

I'm agnostic from a religious culture myself but seriously *insert youhavetostop.gif here*

That’s some scary ****. Never take drugs form people you don’t know and trust. I made the dumb mistake of accepting weed from a stranger at a party once, turns out it was laced with cocaine, and lemme yell ya, having all the coke in your system at once without you knowing is seriously one of the scariest things to have happen lol

It could of very well at some point been something else not related to religion that the voices told her to do

Ppl on drugs hurt themselves all the time especially hard drugs. It doesn't have to be about religion

I know ppl who used religion as a means to give them purpose and in some cases actually helped their issues and in turn addictions

So u can't generalize like that. It goes case by case
