Umm, defamation is the offence of lowering a persons status and damaging their character and reputation with malice based on a false statement. 

If you meant that you can be sued for defamation even if you don't lie (ie based on a truth/fact), no not really. Truth is an absolute defence to defamation. Defamation is allowed where the statement made is a fact, no matter how much the content of that statement damages the character of the person it is made to.

in Quebec Canada you can sue even if what you say is the truth, so I thought it would apply to USA too.

I'm loving this season of Big Brother. They're keep **** interested and they are WAYYYY nicer people than the cast of season 19. They were so horrible and genuinely mean to each other, it was almost hard to watch. Most of the people on this season seem like they actually have a soul 

I'm also hoping Omarosa brings the thunder this week and unleashes the monster you can clearly tell she is trying to hold back

I'm quoting UK law actually, but its probably also the same in the US (on the Federal Level I guess but then we get to individual States and then it gets waaaay too messy).
