Million Reasons is far better objectively. The Cure is the opposite of what Gaga is supposed to represent.

No it's not. Gaga represents artistic authenticity and The Cure is definitely that.

For an artist who's preached about not following trends and gained a following for being different, creating a generic tropical house song that sounds so similar to what's on the radio isn't what Gaga is/was about.
