I don't think Gaga was going for big success during the Joanne era. If you watched 5F2, she was clearly concerned that her fans would not appreciate her new look and her new sound. In other words she was very aware that she was making something very different and risky. She still went ahead and made what she wanted because that is who Gaga is. She always takes risks and hopes they are successful, but she is never one to chase success. And yes, she is ambitious in the sense that she wants to elevate pop music, make it more meaningful and artistic, and just in general create memorable moments.

All the artists you mentioned have very diverse bodies of work, but they are connected by one thing: taking risks  and doing what was deemed impossible or offensive. I agree that her ambition destroyed her, but not in the same way you're saying. 

I don't agree that her creative well has run dry. Do I think she's mentally and physically exhausted from the whirlwind of the past decade? Absolutely.

I think a combination of her stubbornness, ambition, and passion for her art and fans has destroyed different parts of her. And the main one is her aching body. But along with that comes, what i imagine to be, an overwhelming mental pressure.

I imagine she's indescribably distraught from all of the pain and limitations she's faced (in secret, mind you) for the past years.

It's not fair that the most passionate artist of our generation is being prevented from performing by her body, which doesn't seem to be getting any better. Something like that hurts.

Gaga still cares, she won’t admit it but she still does. Not as much as before though. Do you really think all those radio interviews, tv appearances were for nothing? It does clash though with her wanting to be always different, going against the norm. That’s partly the reason why sometimes critics aren’t fond of her, because her work is a compromise between her artistic sensibilities and mass appeal.

Well I agree she's been really really obsessed with the Fame and a lo tof her songs are actually about the fame. But I think that, now she realizes that this is more of a nightmare than a dream. Of course she always wanted to be famous, but now that she succeeded, she's tired of it. That's why she made a jazz album, that's why she made Joanne and did not promote anything well. She doesn't care anymore cause everything about the fame is a Perfect Illusion.

If you've followed her since TF you'll know what I mean. She studied them hard and she was literally the master of fame. She was on her way to that status and many of us thought so too. She's tried out literally EVERYTHING (dropping a commercial song like The Cure, campaigning for the Grammys etc.) but the results are underwhelming, which IMO still affects her emotionally. I just hope she can re-adjust her goal according to her own physical and mental health and stop pushing herself SO HARD. Her work schedule since 2016 has been too rigorous for someone who suffers from chronic pain.

I will offer myself to her team for free to have a nice talk and a job for at least one year. I know exactly how to to this. To have a case study, we will look very closely to her Heavy Metal Lover, Scheisse and Dance in the Dark productions. We will fly in RedOne, Steven Klein and Fernando Garibay to make a plan for the upcoming year. We will also have a collaboration with Thierry Mugler and Donatella for her fashion for the new era. It will be dark leather-GA with Versace pieces. 

The general theme would be the 'Upside Down' inspired by Stranger Things. Gaga is going to play a very mysterious character during her cameos and tv appearances during the promo. The music will, obviously, have heavy influences of her productions with Fernando and RedOne aka Synth-Pop, Techno and rock with chorusses you never heard before. 

The visuals will most of all be black and white with a very primaire color accent and thick eyeliner. With each interview she will bring her throne with her decorated with skulls and diamonds. 

... You know, to reach that MJ/Madonna/Queen status, she only needs to hire me. Fact is, most of my ideas are a mix of all her commercially biggest moments and strategies. Being a hardcore fan ever since Just Dance we all know how to play this right?!
