flynn99 538
I know this is such a weird question but am I the only one who doesn't ever cry when they listen to Gaga? I am not a cryer, i barely ever cry so is that why? I cred when Sonja died and I listened to Grigio Girls on repeat all day and cried. I want to cry but I can't. it's so weird, anyone else the same? dit 46,508
I hardly ever cry for anything in general and especially with Gaga's music for some reason. Her voice just never hit my soul in that sad type of way until Joanne (song)...it literally shook my soul. Especially because I attache it to someone who is very near and dear to me who is suffering with MS at a very young age..That song...it just stirs the core of my being. Yeah, if i ever listen to a sad Gaga song (besides Joanne) I feel sad for her but I think of how she overcame it or about how amazing she is. For some reason Joanne hits my the hardest. And I'm so sorry you lost someone suffering from MS, I hope you and that person's family are doing okay and i'm sure he/she is watching over you. <3 Black Jesus †

She is still here (thank God!). It's just I think of her when I hear Joanne. For some reason I made that connection with that song and her. To the point that I try to avoid it as much as possible because I just cry when I listen to it. This never happened to me with a Gaga song in the past. Like you said, I'd just connect the sadness with specific events in Gaga's own life and I'd feel bad or inspired by her but with Joanne..it's like one of those songs that force you to sulk and melt into your very own sadness. Something about the way she sings it, the melody, instrumentals etc..it tugs at your heart string. Let alone the subject matter...death is an experience every human will face and has faced. Everyone will lose someone they love...it's so frightening yet oddly "peaceful/silent" if that makes sense? Joanne captures that feeling perfectly. It's masterful. NIGHTCRAWLER 6,985
I usually don't cry but yesterday when I saw on the news that Gaga had to cancel her tour, even though I hadn't tickets, I felt so sad for her, and that was so unfair, I swear I struggled not to cry
