Telephone 01. Applause The Applause video is so high octane but sophisticated to me. No product placement, no spoken word soliloquies, just an explosion of looks and choreography. It's really special and perfectly delivers the spirit of that song I think. I of course love her longer form videos, particularly Telephone and Born This Way, but I also attach to the TEOG and PI videos for capturing the epic scale of those songs through her body language alone. I think her improvisational skills are amazing, so watching her embody these HUGE songs by herself was awesome to see. I found Million Reasons to be her weakest because I don't think she sells rehearsed sadness or grief well. When she's truly feeling sad or angry I can see it. When it's canned I can't really connect.
