WildAmerican 13,672
Wanted to get everyone's opinion on this - what will Gaga's Grammy future look like? Since she's now officially risen from the ashes of ARTPOP with Joanne, and has made herself a formidable performer, will she follow in the same vein as Kelly Clarkson and consistently be nominated for Pop Solo and Pop Album? Will it depend on the direction of the project? Could she have an even bigger year if she has a smash era with multiple hits? Can she perform like Kelly (aka flop) and still be nominated? Let me know how you see it going down. I could see her being a regular in Pop Vocal album over the next few albums, and hopefully even more than that. Thoughts? JustinLovesGaga 883
Hmm well I feel like Gaga is definitely a favorite for the Academy, so I feel like she'll always be nominated and will win some. I feel the real struggle is the Academy voting for quality. I'll never understand why they favor Ed Sheeran and Bruno so much. BUT I do appreciate them recognizing Gaga with all of her work besides ARTPOP.
twigsnasty 621
I really hope LG6 brings 3-4 *well-promoted* singles so the #2018RadioIsOurs thing can come true, preferably NOT ballads, so ppl (aka the recording academy) think they're catchy and dance-able. Then, the Recording Academy will notice her more in coming years, since the Grammy's are about popularity, not art, after last night's showcase

AlexanderMagno 10,746
If she goes back to ARTPOP kind of music, she won't get a nomination. Sure she has earned her place and people respect her more nowadays, but Joanne was a fairly safe album with an Americana sound that's very appealing to the Grammys. It was meant to have a few nominations. Even if she goes back to EDM sounds, her good reputation won't earn her any more nominations. I'm not sure how she can earn more Grammys though. Even if she released a generic hit, I'm not sure she would win. Jazz/traditional pop sounds way more likely to win. Or maybe do something so different, ala Ray of Light, that the critics love it. I think it's fair to say that Lady Gaga obviously can easily get a few nominations, no one questions her talent and that right. She's just lacking a truly critically successful album, a 90/100 score. That would give her a Grammy.
Aga Gydal 3,158
All Gaga has to do at this point is release something that sells well and she’s a shoe-in for noms. The only reason Joanne didn’t take those awards is because reception was pretty lukewarm. Bruno’s wins show that you don’t need to have the most artful project, but leverage accessibility with good musicianship. She can do that too, if she wants. Peace 1,588
She should go metal for next album , that’s kinda fresh to her. Maybe Academy will recognize her again.
Twitter 14
I don’t think she’ll attend anymore and give the Grammys the same punishment as the VMAs. But Gaga has the potential to give a successful pop record, the question is she doing it for music and not the bling kinda mood or wants the bling too. GagasPussy 312
The Grammy winners are selected and decided based on popularity and public reception thats why Bruno Mars sweeped last night and Ed Sheeran beat all of the pop nominees. Gaga has to release an album that is commercial and artistic enough for her to win.
