Talk about tone-deaf.

Sony tweeted — then deleted — a praiseworthy message about Kesha's rousing Grammys performance of "Praying" — a song many interpret to be written about Dr. Luke, the Sony producer who Kesha accused of rape.

"No words. All love. #GRAMMYS," Sony Music Global tweeted, along with a clip from Kesha's performance.

Kesha sued Dr. Luke — the producer behind many of her hit songs — in 2014, sparking a drawn-out and contentious legal battle. She alleged the musical hit-maker drugged and raped her when she was 18, and also accused him of repeated emotional abuse.

The singer tried to break her recording contract with Dr. Luke to no avail, with Sony contending it was legally unable to terminate the remainder of their deal. The label did offer to pair Kesha with another producer so she wouldn't have to work with Dr. Luke again amid her allegations.

Sony's Grammys tweet about Kesha was ultimately taken down, but not before the post was flooded with backlash.

"Are you kidding me?!? Just... no. We all remember how you treated her when it mattered," tweeted one user.

Another wrote: "You forced her to work with dr luke you ---king monsters."

In 2015, Kesha submitted a legal complaint that Sony didn't take the correct measures regarding Dr. Luke.

That is messy, but if I were them I'm not sure I would have deleted it. My logic: They didn't support her properly when it mattered (and they need to do more to make up for that), but that doesn't mean they can't start being supportive now. Say the nice things AND address the real problems. You can do both.

Unless they apologize for the way they treated her and pledge to do right in the future, their support now is and hollow and meaningless.

That's like having a police officer that watched you get robbed and did nothing about it randomly compliment your hair the next day like nothing happened. Mess
