tomsches 17,443
So, I think there are those albums that just remind you of a particular time in your life. There are several reasons as to why a particular album evokes memories of a certain season. As an example, it is possible that you bought an album in spring and listened to it quite a lot when the temperatures started rising and you could enjoy the sun outside. On the other hand, perhaps the lyrical content and the overall sound of the album puts you into a summery/wintery mood. So let's share our albums of the 4 seasons. Don't hesitate to share personal anecdotes as well. Here we go: SPRING: Bombay Bicycle Club - So long, see you tomorrow. I bought this album in March, because I heard a few good songs off it on the internet. I really liked the energy of the album, so I listened to it a lot while jogging. That was the time when it started to get warmer and flowers started to grow. So whenever I hear that album, I instantly get spring-vibes. Kate Bush - The Dreaming Pretty much for the same reasons. SUMMER: Kate Bush - Aerial This is the ultimate summer record. The album basically consists of 1 long son (40 minutes) that describes one summer day. Thereby it uses the sounds of real birds in the background to convey a summery atmosphere. There even is a duet with Kate Bush and a bird on the album. Whenever you listen to it, you feel like you are watching a beautiful sunset on a warm summer night. I listen to it whenever I want to be in that mood. It really is as summery as an album gets. Florence + The Machine - How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful This album was released at the end of May of 2015 when I was spending the last days of my ERASMUS year in sunny Spain. So obviously this album always brings me back to those summer nights. Brandon Flowers - The Desired Effect For the same reason as Flo's HBHBHB Grimes - Visions Summer of 2013 was when I found out about Grimes and this masterpiece. Genesis has been one of my summer anthems ever since. Gypsy and the Cat - Gilgamesh I mean, listen to this and you'll see. Shura - Nothing's real Bought this album in summer 2016 for my trip to Alicante, Spain. AUTUMN: Angus & Julia Stone - Snow When I listen to this album, I feel like on a rainy October night. # Björk - Biophilia That was Björk's first album release I experienced as a fan. it was released in late October of 2011 so this album reminds me about that time a lot. Florence + the Machine - Ceremonials For the same reasons as Biophilia. WINTER: Sigur Rós - Kveikur I bought this album just one or two weeks before Christmas of 2013. Also, Sigur Rós in general has a very wintery sound. Whenever I listen to their music, I associate winter with it. Kate Bush - 50 words for snow I don't really have a lot of personal "winter albums", to be honest. But this one just has to be on the list. It is an entire album inspired by winter and snow. So obviously, I am a summer person, since most of my favourite music somehow reminds me of summer. What are your albums of the seasons?

LordEnigma 11,313
The sounds of albums change from season to season for me. BTW in the winter sounds much different than in the summer. So I guess I don’t really have any albums that stick out as seasonal or reminding me of a particular album. The only one MAYBE is Blue Neighborhood because my best friend and I would drive around and listen to it in the summer time.
