Even though Dr. Luke is puke, you must at least give him a fair trial.

And then the deserved guilty verdict:classy:

If you vomit, pick it up, put it in tupperware and make a shrine for it

Attend services for it every night

She was talking about how she writes her songs. The vomit means the initial ideas you had. Then as you keep writing it, you have to honor your original feeling about the subject :spin:

In all seriousness, she is referring to her artistry. You have to respect every aspect of the writing process. Brainstorming is important, and you cannot disregard a certain aspect just because you don’t necessarily like it, because it’s a part of the whole of what you’re creating. Throwing away your word “vomit” is what leads to writer’s block.

When you're a young artist, your ideas are not necessarily good and well-thought, it's just the first stages of your art so it's like "vomit", it just came like this out of nowhere, it's ugly, messy... But you have to look at it and think how you could make it better, how you can create something good next time, not just vomit.

She has often referred to art as vomit. I remember another interview where she said that young artists are like babies, at first they only vomit, burp... And then they learn to control it, they learn to walk and talk, they know it's not ok to vomit and burp like that, they know how to do the good things.

So Swine at SXSW is interesting because it's one of the multiple meanings of the performance. All throughout the ARTPOP era, she stated that she was the blank canvas and put art on herself. Vomit being Millie Brown's form of artistry, they were just making another one of her pieces of art, except that this time the canvas was human.
