The former cab driver won big after buying a scratch-off card from a local gas station. She plans on keeping her winnings all for herself, as Ede's four children, aged 19, 29, 30, and 39, disowned her around 12 years ago after she came out as transgender - even going as far as changing their last names to avoid any association with her. Ede has no plans of inviting her kids to share in her winnings. "I know we should all love our children unconditionally but they cut me out of their lives," Ede told The Sun. If you go as far as changing your last name, you no longer love your family member which is sad. I expected the younger generation to be more accepting, but in this family, they're not.
