Whispering 18,865
From Pew Research: " Muslims constitute a strongly Democratic constituency. Three-quarters of Muslim voters say they cast a ballot for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election, and two-thirds of U.S. Muslims overall say they disapprove of the way Donald Trump is handling his job as president. Most Muslims continue to hold the view that immigrants strengthen the U.S. because of their hard work and talents. And two-thirds say they would prefer to have a larger government that provides more services over a smaller government that provides fewer services. There has, however, been one notable change in the social and political views of U.S. Muslims: They have become much more accepting of homosexuality over the past decade, matching a similar shift that has occurred among the public overall. Indeed, the share of Muslim Americans who say homosexuality should be accepted by society has nearly doubled since 2007." Give them time. Following immigrant crisis in the Europe,i was pretty okay with it.I thought:'Hey,why wouldn't we let refugees in,they're just be here until war'.Then everything with violence started. Many countries like Sweden and Germany have accepted many, many immigrants.Germany ,i think, accepted 600,000 people, while Sweden 100,000 of which many of them gained permanent residency. After that, they'll get welfare, because many of them will fail to adapt,but...With this they're ruining economy and they're ruining stability. They also often claim some parts of the city as their own,as it's the case in the Sweden often, and make it like their own country. The problem is... Will they adapt? Also immigrant muslim population is growing fast with some of the men having multiple wives gaining many welfare bonuses on burden of the natives. They could replace the natives in the future and implement their own laws which is terrifying.Look at country they came from,it's practically a ruin for any person. When they get the majority of people, they could change so many things.Homosexuality COULD be banned and death sentences might be in the present. So are they okay for us ?Crime rate has also increased My country has accepted about 4 thousand refugees and it's really not much, considering other countries.I also want to a immigrant. My country is also not tolerant.I want to move to some of the West countries, but i'm not going to be violent and i actually will have degree as i'm student right now.But i want to go to the country that IS SAFE,i wouldn't ever want to go to the Sweden for example because of the rising threat for any homosexual there. So where should i go,because it's like there anywhere in the Western Europe now.I can't kiss my boyfriend because of the some people that justify hate through their religion. So no,i don't hate, you cannot actually say that.I'm not racist,i don't hate other religions, but LAWS do exist so should tolerance.Europe wanted to make them adapt, but actually Europe is adapting to refugees and illegal immigrants now. So if i have nowhere to move into (regarding Western Europe) it's still a better thing to move to other parts of the world.Iceland or USA for example... I feel so confused and scared,i don't know what to think about immigrants anymore, but i know that they should go back and rebuild country after war finishes, but the problem is will they and will they stay here and make their own rules and implement sharia law. Please never ever come to Germany! We don't need and don't want "people" like you! TY. MAKE LOVE NOT WAR

bumblebee 2,528
I guess @Blond needs to be a little more precise about putting thoughts together. From what I understand, you think that the immigrants from Middle East and Northern Africa coming to EU are a threat, because: 1. They put extra risks on fiscal policy and budget systems of some countries that accepted the most refugees. 2. They accept EU laws, but deny EU values, holding on to a very patriarchy-influenced lifestyle within families, nurturing in rather homophobic and sexists environments at home, and having unofficial poligamic marriages. 3. They contribute to the decrease of safety, because they often can't adapt to living in the western society and start leading criminal lives. 4. There is a risk that they will create some conservative political platform and start inflicting the domestic affairs by shutting down gay rights issues etc. 1. Now, you clearly should stop worrying about the destabilization of budgets of various countries because of the welfare for immigrants. Most EU counties have enough budget funds and reserves to sustain welfare payments. Obviously, if you send 70,000 immigrants to Estonia, they'll find it hard to provide such numbers with everything these people need. But it seems the quotas are well thought-through and distributed between the countries proportionally. However, we must keep in mind that massive immigration coincides with the accelerating movements of digitalization and robotization in economics. There is a high likelihood that we will see a lot of jobs replaced by computer programs, bots and stuff like that in the future, and that labor markets would fail to add enough jobs to satisfy the growing number of immigrants. It's just a theory, but if it were true, it would create some pressure through the unemployment issue. 2. For a gay couple, Walking into some arrondissement while holding hands may indeed be dangerous, but it could also be dangerous in certain Dallas areas or Chicago or Detroit or London boroughs, etc. There are places like that nearly everywhere. But I am sure that the majority of places remain LGBTQ friendly. As it has been previously mentioned, the remoteness of a town usually has a bigger influence on the LGBTQ rights than Muslim communities. However, I doubt that LGBTQ people feel that immigrants are ripping them off their favorite perfect places. 3. We need receipts to talk about such statements. 4. Highly unlikely considering Europeans powerful political traditions. Also as a broader commentary, I'd love to say that I hope there are people here who understand that Syrian war was by no means a Civil war. For those who have studied the principles of military operations or worked in the military companies, it should be clear that when the war broke out, there was a fixed amount of weapons and populations within Syrian territory. Once the fighting erupted fiercely, the disputed territories suffered great economic collapse and were obviously unable to generate taxes or any other incomes to allow both the opposition army and the government army to finance the war. However, the war kept lasting, and the number of weapons was strangely growing on both sides, even though both, the government and the opposition could not generate funds. Which brings us to a simple economic observation that both sides must have been receiving donations and financial aid from elsewhere in order to keep buying weapons and paying the soldiers. With heavy financial involvement from abroad, Syrian war was by no means a Civil War. People who ran away from Syria as refugees had a moral right to ask for shelter in EU, USA, Russia, Turkey and all the other counties/unions who either financially or militarily supported either Assad or the opposition troops. They say there are protests in Iran now, they say it may also lead to a sort of "Civil" war, where the conservative Islamist groups will oppose more progressive youth. I hope Iran protests will not result in a war, but if they do, I just hope that EU/USA have learnt their Syrian lesson well. Just when everybody thought that oppositions forces in Syria were about to capture Damascus, Putin fished out a SurpriseBitch.gif and reversed the whole track of war, securing Assad's regime for some time by bringing Russian airforces to Syria, which led to hundreds of thousands of refugees fleeing the country. So before supporting one side of the Iran civil war financially or with weapons, the politicians must think: is there a chance Putin will bring his military jets to some base and start helping one side of the conflict, turning all our financial aid to ashes and sending hundreds of thousands of refugees to EU? Is the financial aid to one sides of the military conflict in a sovereign country worth it, then? Maybe we better spend it on the programs of adapting the refugees?
