So we all know the original Jurassic Park is the best in the franchise, but which sequel is the best?

The Lost World: Jurassic Park

Return of fan favorite Ian Malcolm set on Isla Sorna / Site B, basic synopsis is Malcolm sets off to Isla Sorna, InGens second island that was the site for the bulk of dino cloning and genetic creation before the adolescent dinosaurs were shipped to Isla Nublar for the park, to retrieve his girlfriend who was sent secretly by John Hammond to observe the animals on the island, whom now roam after the events of Jurassic Park.

Memorable scenes include the T- Rex attack on the RV, raptors in the tall grass/field, and T - Rex attack on San Diego.

Jurassic Park III

Return of original series protagonist Dr. Grant, who is bribed/tricked into doing a flyover tour of Isla Sorna by a desperate, divorced couple on a mission to rescue their son who had an accident and has been stranded on the island for 8 weeks.

Memorable scenes include Spino attack on plane, raptor attack in abandoned production facility, and the aviary scene.

Jurassic World

22 years after the events of Jurassic Park, park general manager Claire Dearing now runs a fully functional and successful version of Jurassic Park, now re-branded Jurassic World. The park has been open for 10 years already, and though business is still strong, visitor counts have been declining steadily for the last two years. InGen and original Jurassic Park genetic scientist Henry Wu collaborate to make the biggest, baddest, scariest dinosaur ever created by genetically modifying numerous dinosaur's DNA together to create the Indominous Rex. After the hybrid escapes out of it's paddock and goes on a killing spree,  Claire enlists the help of Velociraptor trainer Owen Grady to stop the monster.

Memorable scenes include Indominous escape, Indominous attack on gyrosphere, the attack on Main Street, Velociraptors hunting the Indominous, and the final battle with the T- Rex and the Indominous

Jurassic Park III is considered one of the worst movies ever. It's a complete mess from start to finish. None of the sequels are really any good, but Jurassic World took on a fresher approach.

My ranking:

Jurassic World

The Lost World: Jurassic Park II

All of the sequels were different shades of dumb, but at least Jurassic World was thoroughly entertaining.

Needless to say, none of them can approach the intensity and technical mastery of the original.

that's a common complaint - how would survivors of the original incident ever willingly go back to these deathtrap islands :selena: even for millions of dollars
