Cardi B Set Up to Be Biggest Female of 2018

You'd be in denial to think that Cardi B hasn't become one of the most successful new female artists of this decade. 

Her level of "blow up" this decade as a new artist can only be matched by that of Kesha and Iggy. (Adele technically debuted last decade, and Gaga did as well). One could argue Ariana as well, but she actually had a slower rise. 

With a total of 3 top 10 singles within a span of only 4 months (two billed as a lead and one as a feature). She has solidified herself in some way. 

 

As the Billboard year of 2018 started in mid-November of 2017, she has been in the Top 10 on the Hot 100 every week with at least 1 song, sometimes 2.

So far in the Billboard 2018 her songs have spent this many weeks in the Top 10

Bodak Yellow: 4 weeks 
No Limit: 4 weeks
Motor Sport: 2 weeks

 

Billboard will credit her equally, wether she's a lead or feature on the song. 

It's inevitable that "Bartier Cardi" will become her 4th Top 10 hit, as the song is the 3rd best streaming song on Spotify. This would make her 4 for 4 with Top 10s. 

 

And then there's her Latin song with Ozuna, "La Modelo" that was just released and seems like it may have some traction. (She sings in this song, its pretty good).

 

 

 

And then there's the rumor that she will be featured on the remix of Bruno's next single "Finesse", dropping January 4th. 

 

 

It's clear that Cardi has become the new feature girl, that rappers and singers want to work with. 

 

And of course, her debut album will drop in 2018. 

And who knows what songs and features she has u her sleeve. 

 

I'm ready for Cardi B domination in 2018. We need a female up there on the charts.

She's the Lady Gaga of the rap world with this incredible, and consistent, string of success.

Which means, it's only a matter of time before the public tear her down (note: it's already begun). Which will happen at an increased rate seeing as she's an *woman of color.

Good for her, BUT she should take her time a bit, she's had bodak, then no limit, then motorsport, then Bardier cardi and now the bruno song? she should slow down a bit, hopefully her success isn't as fast paced as the number of songs she's been putting out lately.
