See, now this messy situation just looks foolish from the other side.  Lorde made her decision; yeah, she clearly could've handled it better, but it's been made.  I don't see her reconsidering, because she clearly cares too much about the backlash to do so, so I wonder what the ambassador hopes to accomplish here beyond looking desperate.   :rip:

I'm talkin' 'bout forever, baby.

It’s too late..

even if she re-schedule the show, no one will go anyway..

She’s getting a lot of backlash now on her FB page.

She just had to perform there, find an idea that will promote peace and co-existin and end this mess.

You just can’t take a side and expect that the other side won’t complain..

and the funny thing is that her fans are mostly pro-Palestinians Israelis.. music is very divided in Israel and kinda equal to politics..

He thinks she won't show and that if she ducks him, it'll make her side look like they're afraid to debate.

Her problem is not with the people but with the government and the way they handle things, WHY on earth do they think it would be a good idea to have a government representative invite her to a meeting? :laughga:

BDS queen is unpressed.

Honestly, it's what she deserves. She politicized her performance when she pulled out. All she had to do was perform and then say she had a job to do and that was to perform for Israel fans. Then continued by saying she's not a politician but an entertainer first and foremost.

Um excuse me she does not deserve it. She decided not to perform so she won’t, leave her alone

Yet everyone in the media were calling her out for not being blatant about Trump on the Superbowl.

We're not surprised she's being criticized but another thing is saying she deserves backlash. She doesn't, she took a decision sticking up for her beliefs and people are quick to judge her for cancelling a show for her fans or comparing her to everyone else instead of seeing the bigger picture of the reasons why she's doing it.

Don’t give her too much credit, she doesn’t care, she thought that it’s bad for her career so she canceled but she forgot that the majority of the GP, especially Christian Americans, are pro-Israel.. + she f-cked it up with the Russian shows so she triggered the lgbt community too... Israel/Palestine conflict is a bit less important now than the gay holocaust in Chechnya.. especially when nobody cares about it..

she’s in a mess now.. she’s too young for this.. She’s not a big legend like Waters who can soeak loud against Israel and still sell millions of tickets..

Like I said before, she had togo there for peace, donate the Israeli money to a Palestinian organization and win both sides..
